Good Morning America
Hey!
I'm going to be on Good Morning America on Thursday (2/19) morning.
So, um, you should watch.
I'm a little nervous.
I'm not going on for the Slow Cooker Challenge with Emeril, although thank you so much to everyone who emailed me about that---it sounds amazing, but I didn't get my act together in time to enter.
I am going to demonstrate a slow-cooked meal, but I'm not sure yet which one.
I'm leaving Wednesday morning, and will only stay one night. But! Some pork recipes will magically post all by themselves because I have finally figured out how to auto-post. It only took 14 months...
and. I've never flown by myself, so I'm kind of sort of freaking out.
and. do I wear the red or the blue sweater? (say the blue one)
and. will the zit on my chin clear in time?
and. since it's live I can't screw up---which makes me even more freaked out. But I've heard there's a few second delay in case someone drops the F-bomb. Which I'm not planning on doing, but you never really know, so it's good to have that as a back up just in case.
I think.
You're amazing and inspiring! I am fairly new to crockpotting and hesitant where to start. I'm trying the "candy chicken" tomorrow. Good luck on GMA, Break a leg! :) And thank you!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! And I can say that I knew you before you were famous.
ReplyDeleteim confused. if you arent going for crock potting, then why are you going? 8)
ReplyDeleteeeps, you're right Jen, that is confusing. I'm going on to demonstrate a slow-cooked meal, but not for the Emeril challenge.
ReplyDeletexoxo
steph
good luck and have a great time!
ReplyDeleteCongrats- I will make sure to watch you and the show. Thanks for the info. Ok the blue sweater. You'll be great.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is awesome. I am sure you will do a great job, and I will be tuning in to watch of course.
ReplyDeleteI will be tuning in!...YOU GO GIRL!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou will be FANTASTIC!
ReplyDeleteWear the blue, it will look great with your perfectly clear skin!
How very cool! Good luck, have fun, and wear the blue sweater - the TV poobahs prefer blue, it shows up better on TV. :)
ReplyDeleteOprah says the most flattering color on camera is blue...so I say the blue one.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I don't have cable, or else I'd watch it. Maybe I can DVR it at my in-laws house and watch it later. Good luck and wear the blue sweater!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be at work, so I'll miss it but hopefully there will be a video on the ABC site or You Tube! Good luck, wear the blue (and concealer if you need it), and have a great time!!!
ReplyDeleteohh so setting my DVR now!!
ReplyDeleteYou will be fabulous! Don't even worry.
Pimple will be gone! Toothepaste helps dry them out if you get too close!!
Will be watching. we LOVE our crock-pot!!
Wow, how exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI'd never flown alone until a few years ago and I was insanely nervous until I got to the airport and was getting to my gate alone. I had this weird sense of peace wash over me to just be alone and have a vacation with only my needs on my mind. So hopefully you'll experience the same!
Also, to clear up zits super fast, I usually put a bigggg blob of zit cream on at night and then a band-aid over and the zit is usually only a red mark by morning.
Good luck!!!
Congratulations! I know you are nervous, but you will be great! I'll be watching!
ReplyDeleteThe blue will be lovely. And you will be awesome! Can't wait to see you. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteWear the blue and be yourself and everyone will LOVE it! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteFawnda
Totally laughing at the F-bomb thing! You'll do great. I'll definately watch. JMO but my family loves the Autumn Sausage Casserole and Rotissery Style Chicken. Those would be definate winners to make! Good luck :)
ReplyDelete-Hayley
How exciting for you! Wow! We've tried several of your recipes at our house, and we are LOVING your site. We're eating real food again. :)
ReplyDeleteOur personal favorite is the Pasta Fagioli, you can feed lots of people for only about $7.00 using the best ground surloin, followed closely by Crockpot Cream Cheese Chicken. It is so good: we serve this on pasta, rice and toast. Whatever you choose, I am sure it will be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you! You go, girl! I've made so many recipes from your blog. I've used my crockpot before, but now even more! My newest one (cracked a few in my lifetime) has 3 inserts in it. So, I soak my beans in one insert while another one cooks overnite. Is that swell? Blue sweater, like everyone says, listen to us, please, red is not photogenic and you will have your pic taken, for sure. I wish i could fly somewhere by myself (which I did, but that was 4 months ago but I am ready again). I've been with my kids 24x7 since husband works overseas. I homeschool them too. SO, I would be very "nervous" to get away. Nervous about what to read or do first! LOL! You'll do just fine! Now you are a VIP, so act like one in confidence! I'll have to run to the gym in the am just to watch you. I got no cable at home. It's also my son's BDay. I get a day off from school! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA....my daughter just leaned over my shoulder and we both said that we totally have to DVR it, just in case we're too busy in our morning routine! She's 12 and she's a fan too! In fact, I just made your Cream Cheese Chicken tonight, AGAIN, and it was a hit. AGAIN.
ReplyDeleteYou rock, and we're totally gonna watch!
Oh I am so excited for you! i love watching people on TV and being able to say "hey, i know him/her!"
ReplyDeleteAnd i think it was really cute to show the random number thingy in this post!
i was going to say red because red is a power color or something like that...but then i looked at all the comments and it looks like you will probably go with blue! either way you will be stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteYou will be great! Both on the plane and off. I will tune in!
ReplyDeleteWow, how exciting - congratulations! Even if your zit doesn't behave, I'm sure the tv guys will make it disappear :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I made your Obama chili this past weekend and it was a HUGE hit with everyone - thank you!
I'm so excited to watch you on GMA! Good luck, your other bloggies are routing for you!
ReplyDeleteYou're a rock star! I'm setting my TIVO now. I'll add something wonderful about you to my daily list of affirmations. Have I told you, you rock!
ReplyDeleteThat is super cool! I'm sure you'll do great. Your blog is awesome. I love checking in every day to see "what's cookin'" :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll be great! No worries, just try not to drop the f-bomb and it will be fine. ;o) But even if you do, hey, that's what the delay is for. So it's all good.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, good luck and we'll be watching. Or TiVo-ing since it's carpool time. Break a leg!
How exciting. And to think that I can say . . . I discovered her blog before she was famous.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I can't wait to see you!
I am going to watch.. and record it.. so if i hear the f-boom.. I can hear it over and over..hahah... You will do fine.. How did they find you..how did you get picked..
ReplyDeleteSee you thursday..
deb
I've been on national TV a number of times, including Good Morning America two years ago, if you need any advice. Wear what feels comfortable and looks the best on you. You're going to be great. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteI've been on Good Morning America before, it was lots of fun and a great memory.
Just relax and be yourself. You will love it.
g
Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, definitely go with the blue sweater -- it's the best color for television.
I'll be watching!
From a PR/media relations perspective (which happens to be my field)...blue is the best color you can wear on TV.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and we'll be watching!
How very exciting. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck! And you look just stunning in blue:)
ReplyDeleteBlue is better on camera than red.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'll try to watch so I can say "I KNOW HER!"... cos, you know... it's all about me. :P
ReplyDeleteSeriously, very cool.
oxox
Cookie
Ooooh that is so exciting!! I'm going to set up the DVR right after this!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to be great!
How amazing! (Wear the blue!!)
ReplyDeleteGood luck :-).
Tea tree oil will help clear the zit up...but they will also have people doing your makeup so I'm sure they can cover it with no issue. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in and makes you feel like a million bucks. You'll do great...I love your recipes.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Crockpot Lady...you'll do great! I'm always clicking into your blog to try new recipes. Most recent one is the chick pea with cayenne. I loved them and so did my husband (he doesn't venture much so this was a real surprise.)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'll be sure to tune in! I know you'll be fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI view you through a syndication feed. LOVE your ideas, and appreciate your posts.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on television. Now I'll be looking for that zit! loL!
Makeup will cover the zit! You're going to be great. That's a lot of "firsts" for you. I'm sure the next year will be full of them. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteFor my money, that brown sugar chicken can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip, you'll be marvelous! Blue sweater sounds perfect & I've heard that zits do not show up on TV unless they were put there on purpose by make-up specialists. ;)
I'll have to set the Tivo!
Hugs!
Betty
Yea! How exciting! Yes, wear the blue sweater and I'm pretty sure they have someone who can cover up that zit for you. You'll be great!
ReplyDeleteGo Steph! Just bring some gum and trashy magazines for the flight and you'll be fine. We all know you will be great. I am going to set my Tivo right now! Can't wait to watch.
ReplyDeleteYou will do great - good luck!
ReplyDeleteYou will do great - good luck!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! I'm sure you will do a great job.
ReplyDeleteThe proactive repairing lotion would clear that up overnight. My daughter tried it once and worked. She didn't even have the whole system.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool you're gonna be on tv. I love Emeril. I will try to remember to watch.
Good luck and don't worry about the flying you'll be fine. I love to fly.
Take care, Chrissie
Good luck! You'll be fabulous.
ReplyDeletegood luck, Steph. You'll do great (of course). I agree about the blue because red's hard to pick up on camera. Your segment won't be that long, but you'll have a great time!
ReplyDeleteLater on. I'll tell you what I did with pork, inspired by more than one of your recipes.
Good luck. I'll know you'll do fine on GMA. I have to work that day but, will tape the show. You'll do just fine - pretend you're blogging!
ReplyDeletewear the blue--definitely.
ReplyDeleteand here's a hint for flying--if you lift your feet up off the floor, you can't feel the turbulence as much. ;-)
Seriously, think of all you've acoomplished and know that you are a powerful woman.
-Terri
Blue sweater.
ReplyDeleteAnd also, they will put so much makeup on you that you will never be able to tell if there is a zit.
Bring a good book for the flight. Or maybe some liquor. Whichever.
And have fun!! I'm super excited and setting my DVR!
How exciting! You totally deserve it, your recipes make my life good, and you're gonna be great!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't worry about flying by yourself - think of it as a chance to relax, have someone wait on you, and be able to read or sleep or whatever you want without getting interrupted (by, say, kids or husband).
Congratulations! We're all excited. My sweet husband set the dvr for me and is trying to steal one of the peking pork chops outta the crock and they're not done yet:) Anyway, i am really happy for u and so are all your readers on here. we got your back girl and are ecstatic for U!! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to watch! Good luck. Just imagine everyone in their undies, because since I'm at home I will be. :)
ReplyDeleteps. try a dab of toothpaste on the zit, it helps dry it up.
GMA has makeup artists that can take care of blemishes - they want you to look good too.
ReplyDeleteTake both sweaters. If Diane is wearing blue, wear red, or vice versa.
Just put on your "I've done this so many times I'm bored" look and hopefully airport security won't frisk you;). No sweat.
the Fbomb? You mean...farfigneugen? GASP
I think you will do just fabulous and will be setting the vcr (yes, i still have one!) to catch it after work. My favorite recipe over the last year was your ratatouille. It was quick, easy and wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on GMA...I have set my DVR to record!! You'll do awesome! Just be yourself...oh, and the zit...maybe a little bit of neosporin dabbed on to help it heal. :-)
ReplyDeleteSO Exciting! I love your blog and what a great thing to be on the Morning show!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on GMA. Definitely wear the blue, red sometimes doesn't photograph well. In many cases they will tell you not to wear red.
ReplyDeleteGo get 'em!
Ultra cool !
ReplyDeleteWho cares what Oprah says ?...wear your favorite...the blue one and have a blast...I'll TiVo it and watch when I get home !
Good Luck or Break a Leg or whichever one is the actual lucky phrase!
ReplyDeleteDon't be too nervous, you should be fine!
Be sure and tell us all about it.
already have the tape in the gizmo so i can be awed when watching u on gma and relax and enjoy you after...again and again. main thing: relax, but not too much. have fun, and i/we will too. whatever u wear will be just right. congratulations to u and to gma for finding u.
ReplyDeleteWow what fun! I would love to have something important to share with people on TV (I don't) Way cool! Have fun! The lass you think about it the easier it will be (at least for me When I danced on stage it was better for me to just make sure I knew the steps and then let it happen) You will do great!
ReplyDeletePS what channel is it on I don't watch TV. (is that embarrassing?)
Wear the blue!! You will look wonderful! You will do great!!
ReplyDeleteOff to set the DVR. Good luck Steph!!!
Congrats and good luck! You'll be GREAT!
ReplyDeleteYou know what would make your site even more awesome than it already is? A listing of the recipes by the time it takes to make them. I'm a work outside the house mom with a school-aged kid and a toddler, and my husband works second-shift type hours (and so is not home in at dinnertime). I rely on my crock pot several times a week for meals. Because it's hard to cook when the toddler wants to climb up your leg. But, this means I need recipes that take at least 9 hours. Just an idea for if you are ever on bedrest and needs something to do. Ha. I guess they wouldn't all have to be sorted by time, but a special list of the longer, gone all day recipes.
ReplyDeleteThat's so exciting Steph! Good luck on GMA! You'll do awesome, and I for one will tune in. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I'll be watching!
ReplyDeleteI will DVR it. Dont' worry about the zit. Here are a few tricks. Desitin (yes, the baby butt cream) dries them out. Also, preparation H the night before reduces swelling and redness. If all else fails, they will have a make-up artist there to do your face. They don't let you go on TV with a giant zit. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteGood luck! You will do great and I will be watching. I love trying all of your recipes and I am still trying to get friends and family hooked on crockpot cooking as much as I am hooked. Thanks for all of your hard work!
ReplyDeleteToo cool!!!! Good luck and I"ll definitely try to tune in!
ReplyDeleteBlue sweater for sure!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the flying -- millions do it everyday and it's fine (I do it a LOT).
Be your own funny and sweet self and it will be a great show!
We're all cheering for you!!
Definately the BLUE! Blue, solid colors look best on camera. I will try to TiVo it! I am so happy for you and I love your site! I too am addicted to my slow cooker. I am having what I call hamburger stew tonight. Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteAmy
HOLY COW!!! That's amazing!!! Congratulations! I'll be tuning in!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!
ReplyDeletethe blue one
what zit?
You'll do fine! I've got to set my Tivo!
I just shared this news on Twitter via Alison. Very cool- very exciting! Break a leg. xox
ReplyDeleteCongrats! You will be wonderful!! I look forward to watching you. AGAIN!!! Way to go!!!
ReplyDeleteI vote blue sweater! And the models swear by putting a little toothpaste on a break out the night before a big shoot! Might give it a try!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you! I love coming here to find new and interesting recipes. You are so creative. Can't wait to see you on tv!
ReplyDeletewow that is sooo awesome! I'm so proud of you and happy for you! Have a wonderful time, take a few deep breaths, and do fab! (have fun too!)
ReplyDeleteWOW that's super cool! I'm proud to say that I knew you before you were on TV, wrote your first recipe book, etc....CHANGE is coming for you!!
ReplyDeleteWill watch and cheer you on!
ReplyDeleteBlue trumps all colors, IMO. Congratulations! What about challenging Bobby Flay to a slow cooker Throwdown. Now that I would love to see! Flying can be scary, especially by yourself. Bring lots of gadgets (ipod, laptop w/DVDs, playing cards--the tiny ones) or a book to calm you if you can't sleep on planes. Remember to stretch your legs a lot!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! That is so amazing! Congratulations! You're a real celebrity blogger now!
ReplyDeleteDear Steph,
ReplyDeleteYou are smart, and sweet, and funny! You are the real deal. You have been crockpotting consistently for over 365 days! You know how to crockpot and you have taught us about it.
So, go and have a blast doing what you know really well. Wear the blue sweater. And the pimple will be gone. We're all rooting for you. :)
i made both taco soup this weekend (that's what i think you should do for GMA--super easy and DELISH and great for newbies like myself--) and some chicken dish with apricot jam. both totally yummy!!!!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the GMA spot. you'll do great, i'm sure!
zomg! how exciting. i must say, my favorite is the buffalo wing chicken soup (or the proper name)
ReplyDeletei'm only allowed to make it once a month now : (
how exciting! glad for the heads up - we'll [me + my 11 month old] be watching!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting!!! I love reading your blog and I think its super exciting that everyone is going to be able to see how amazing your crockpotting skills are!! Congratulations! I will for sure be watching! :)
ReplyDeleteyou have changed my life since I found your blog in December...so many thanks and hoping I'll remember to tape (I dont know to use the DVR).
ReplyDeleteBLUE sweater will take the redness out of any blemish but GMA will have your back for sure!!
Does not matter anyway b/c we all have such confidnece in you!
"and. I've never flown by myself, so I'm kind of sort of freaking out."
ReplyDeleteFlying alone is fun....no one else's stuff to worry about, no kids...it's nice.
"and. do I wear the red or the blue sweater? (say the blue one)"
Take both with you that morning....someone there will tell you what will look best on you on camera.
"and. will the zit on my chin clear in time?"
No worries. The makeup artist will know exactly what to do!
"and. since it's live I can't screw up"
Sure you can, and NO ONE will care! And if anyone back home says sh** to you about it, ask them when the last time THEY were asked to be on national TV!
Have fun!
Congratulations!! You'll be totally FAB-U-LOUS!
ReplyDeleteWear the blue sweater.
Their make-up artists work miracles, so don't worry. They've seen zits before.
Be yourself. You know how to do this.
Definitely wear the blue...red doesn't always look that great on tv :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
FYI, I hyped your upcoming GMA appearance on my blog today. It's in a post about meal planning
ReplyDeleteGood luck tomorrow.
Leah
You are getting to be one popular gal! Congrats on the exciting news, can't wait to see you again. =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! And when I flew by myself, I LOVED it. You can read or listen to music or sleep. Bliss.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I already set the DVR.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Rachael Ray got her TV start on GMA. Just something to keep in mind :)
I don't have television, so I can't watch, but I would so watch if we did.
ReplyDeleteWear the blue, red can be weird on film. The zit will completely clear up, and in fact, the rest of your skin will glow. You will do astoundingly well, and some sponsor will offer to buy all your groceries (even the weird stuff) for a year. And mow your lawn.
Seriously, the plane? Way safer than the car, the cab, the bus. If there was a news story every time a car crashed, the way there is with planes, you'd never get in a car again. My husband flies, and I never worry about him in the air. It's the people on the road I worry about.
Oh, and bring a book for the plane, so you don't feel too alone. Preferably something from the 18th century that has no F-bombs in it, so your speech will already be set for the show.
ReplyDeleteGirl! You are going to rock! Can't wait to actually see you in person. Well, sorta. Good luck and have fun! Tell Diane I send my love.
ReplyDeleteHey! Congrats on being on GMA. You HAVE to wear blue, Oprah says it's an industry thing that blue is the best color for tv :)
ReplyDeleteWow that's awesome! I am going to DVR the news now so I can FF through commercials :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm watching! I just saw the teaser and you look great! Can't wait to see the segment.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you posted so I could watch! & You picked Blue - It looked Great!!! Way to go Stephanie!
ReplyDeleteGood Job Catherine! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou handled that sooo well! Too funny!
Hey I just watched you on TV .... you are so so cute. I wished the segment had been longer. It was GREAT. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteI just watch GMA (I never tune in, but thought it would be great to see you there) -- you did great!!! I'm planning to make the lasagna next week. Thank you and I can't wait for the book!
ReplyDeleteJust saw you on GMA! Great segment and the blue sweater worked very great! I've bookmarked your blog now and will use it often. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteJust saw you on GMA. You were marvelous! The blue sweater was perfect and you seemed like a natural. Good job and keep on crockin'. I'm a big fan. :)

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Who knew, all this from a crock-pot!! Way to go!!!!
Way to go! You were awesome! I've been lurking for some time now and have tried several dishes out. (Yum! by the way) I can't wait to try the hash brown breakfast. Great job today!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching you on GMA right now and you are lovely. Thank you for doing the show so more of us could find out about your blog. I'm definitely now a fan!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on a great showing Stephanie! And that buffalo chicken lasagna looks SO YUMMY! Gonna try that one soon!
ReplyDeleteI just watched GMA...you were GREAT! Well done!
ReplyDeleteSaw you this morning on GMA, then looked for your blog. Great job - you're a natural in front of the camera! Too bad GMA didn't give you the full half hour! Maybe the food network has that half-hour spot for you!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to the blog to check out more recipes.
You did great! I enjoyed your segment very much.
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I DVRed GMA and I only had room for an hour and 45 minutes... of course, you were on in the last 15 minutes I couldn't tape! Hopefully I'll find it on the internet somewhere :)
ReplyDeleteI watched it this morning you did a great job, the host lets call him Bob,could have done better though.
ReplyDeleteYou were awesome STEPH. And we know your name. :-) The blue looked great and your skin was flawless.
ReplyDeleteHEY Girl!
ReplyDeleteI finally found you! I watched you this morning on TV.. (which you look MARV. darling) & I was loving that Buff. Chicken recipe.. I was craving it for dinner tonight!! It looked YUM-O!
Anyway.. glad I found you.. I'm a SAHM of 3, love blogging, & I too love my crockpot! So, I'm really excited to find some new recipes!
Blessings to you!
Keisha
I just finished posting a comment on the GMA website. I saw your segment and was outraged at the way they rushed through it, got your name wrong and never mentioned this site. You deserved better. I love your blog and love my crockpot. I'm looking forward to your cookbook.
ReplyDeleteCrap! I'm reading this to late to watch :(
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it was FAB!
~Marni
You did great! Thanks for sharing all your knowledge!
ReplyDeleteI saw it this morning and you did great. I have round crockpots and now I want ones like you used on there LOL. Seriously my husband even asked what i was watching and I was like "its the Crockpot blogger" and he says "oh yeah I am taking the last of the brown sugar chicken for lunch, tell her thanks" Seriously you were good and it was fun to see you in my living room.
ReplyDeleteI set my DVR and watched you on the show just now. YOU ROCKED! You are famous beyond words... Just the beginning of your book tour. Brace yourself for a long run girl.
ReplyDeleteYour Blue sweater was the way to go. You shined!
Awesome! Just saw you on GMA.... You are doing a great thing! I love my Crocker but don't have the time to really learn it so I stick with the same 5 things - I am branching out now, girl! Thanks so much! Best of luck and best wishes!
ReplyDeleteYou did great and had you not been on - I never would have found you. And we love slow cooking...homeschooling, full time job...busy lives. Thanks for your site. I cannot wait to see all you've written.
ReplyDeleteYou looked beautiful...and I have found your blog now!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to scan the posts.
(~~)
Julie
You were amazing! You looked so beautiful in the blue and you did such a good job.
ReplyDeleteI saw you today and you did very well. So poised and funny too. I am so glad you chose the lasagna! I thought to myself, hmmm...the lasagna I make every week is famous now.
ReplyDeleteI watched you today on GMA, and you did a GREAT JOB:) I absolutely LOVE your ideas and making use of the wonderful Crock Pot. I am going to try the Buffalo Chicken Lasagna recipe this week-end. I also will look forward to purchasing your book!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck,
Lea Ann Stiller
For anyone who missed it you can go to ABC.com and watch the segment on your computer. I posted a complaint about the way they rused the segment and I just checked back and saw that I was not alone. A lot of people were upset about it just like me. I did mention A Year Of Crockpotting in my comment so people could find you.
ReplyDeleteI just watched the GMA...they could have done with way less Oscar stuff and had you on for a way longer segment. BTW...good color choice on your top!! It was great to see you on TV!!
ReplyDeleteHey everyone, here's the link to see Steph's spot on GMA today:
ReplyDeletehttp://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Recipes/story?id=6905893
You'll probably have to copy & paste it.
Steph, you are so ADORABLE, and the blue sweater looked wonderful!
Great job!
I also made a post there:
"I agree 100% with katklaw777.
Stephanie has shown the convenience, versatility, and frugality (something we all need right now!) of crock-pot cooking to a whole new generation!
Her blog is witty and fun to read, and her willingness to experiment and try new things is inspiring to us all.
Please bring Stephanie back ASAP, and give her more time.
Let her wonderful personality and helpful tips shine, and lose the stupid comments!"
Oops, I just realized if you read that out of context there's a tiny chance you might think Steph made "the stupid comments" Not so! That would be the host Chris Cuomo! Shame on him!
You Rock! If you weren't already married to Mr. Perfect, I'd marry you myself. *mwah*
ReplyDeleteYou did great today!
Congratulations on your wonderful success. I'll be happy to say ... "I knew you when...". :)
oxox
Cookie!
You were awesome :-) I was excited and nervous right along with you. It's a bummer your host wasn't more experienced and that he made a few mistakes, but you shined right through.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us all know in time so we could see your moment of glory !!!
I didn't get to see you on the show, but you looked nice during the teasers. Hope it went well!
ReplyDeleteThank you for leaving your family and traveling to be on GMA! I catch bits and pieces of the show while managing my own family in the morning and was thrilled to see your segment. You were awesome, so comfortable and great recipes. Can't wait to get my hands on that cookbook!
ReplyDelete-- Liz in Cleveland, OH
Saw it, how fun and when I heard you were a gluten-free house had to check out the blog:)
ReplyDeleteI saw you on GMA and love your blog!! The slow cooker is my favorite although my friends think I am nuts. But it is wonderful to come home to a hot meal after a long day at work-who wants to cook after work!? I have your Taco Soup cooking right now for dinner tonight! I am looking forward to trying the other recipes as well! Can you tell I am crock pot obsessed?? You have a new fan-Thanks again!!
ReplyDeleteI am a 47 year old sound editor and play guitar in a band, married with 2 dogs. I have reading your site for over a year, trying different recipes and just wanted to tell you that you did great on GMA, completely in control and handled everything like a champ. Hope the flight was okay for a first time experience !!!
ReplyDeleteHope your GMA appearance went beautifully. If you let your personality shine through the same way you do in your blog, then you were a rousing success.
ReplyDeleteYou go, girl!
