The One Where I Send You Elsewhere
Well, hello there!
Happy You've Practically Made It Through Tuesday Which Means That It's Almost Wednesday, And That Means That The Week Is Pretty Much Over Since No One Really Does Any Work After Noon on Thursdays Anyhow Day!
Grab a cup of coffee, or hot chocolate, or a shot of tequilla, or whatever it is that you like to drink, and enjoy!
1) Michelle Stern has her new website up and running: What's Cooking With Kids!
2) Amy Green at Simply Sugar & Gluten Free has a bunch of stuff lined up this week to help with planning your Thanksgiving dinner.
3) Shirley at GFE (gluten free easily) has her famous No-Roll Pie Crust recipe up and is giving away copies of my cookbook and the Spunky Coconut cookbook.
4) Speaking of Thanksgiving, here's a round-up of Slow Cooker Holiday Food and a write-up on how to have an allergen-free (aware?) holiday meal that I did last year.
Wow, Steph, super special thanks for tweaking my recipe for the slow cooker and sharing it on Smithfield's site! :-) They are lucky to have you, as we all are! Great roundup, too. I bow to you, Miss Queen of Brevity. ;-)

Stephanie! Finding your blog brought me great JOY today! My husband and I travel full time and I have become increasingly addicted to using my crockpot. Can't wait to try your recipes!

Your website has me tingling with excitement! I love slow cooked food and asked for a slow cooker for my birthday but I've had trouble finding new cheap and easy recipes since. Now that I've found your website I'll probably only slow cook for the rest of my life :)
ReplyDeleteSince I survived colon cancer 8 years ago, I have not cooked anything...until my daughter showed me this site. I now have three slow cookers, I read the cookbook and laugh and have cooked a few things for my staff at school. I think there is hope!
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I’m looking to make some changes in my own eating habits and learning to cook, so I appreciate your insight a lot! Thank you. I recently stumbled upon this blog like I did yours and I thought your readers may appreciate it: http://burisonthecouch.wordpress.com/2010/11/04/food-for-thought/
ReplyDeleteI’ve started to look for blog help more regularly and I think I’m going to add your blog to my list as well. Thanks for the post!

I found this blog when I was researching on slow cooking recipes for a solar oven. (solar oven cooking is my next project.) I have a family member who is on GF diet so this blog helps a lot. I can see myself coming back here very often :)
ReplyDeleteStephanie: Thank you for the great talk you gave at the Livermore Library yesterday. It was a delight to see you in person (and the "pumpkin pudding" was delicious)! I've had the Taco soup on my brain ever since one of the audience members mentioned it (and even though we are having unseasonably warm weather in the Bay Area, I may have to stop at Safeway on my way home from work)! Thank you again for coming over the hill to share with us!

I didn't see a way to email you, so I'm just commenting. I know you like spice, so I thought you might like this recipe: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Jalapeno-Popper-Spread/Detail.aspx?prop31=1
