Hello there!!

Are you wondering what to do with your leftover turkey meat and the bones?

Look no more--I've got you covered!

Here are three completely different but absolutely wonderful soups. I can't decide which one I'm going to do this year, but I'm leaning towards the stew because it's good cold-weather food and it's supposed to rain the next few days.

enjoy your family! and don't pick fights with the crazy uncles...

PS: If you'd like to put the turkey bones into a "Soup Sock" -- you can do so which will allow the flavor of the bones to permeate the broth without worrying about any sort of bone fragments in your soup!!

  1. My bones are in the crock pot now! :)

  2. Here's my instructions for nutrient rich crock pot bone broth; the part specific to turkey bones is toward the end of the article. It used to be so intimidating for me, but I love putting my bones directly from the table to the crock pot.

  7. I use my bones to make broth. One turkey carcass will make two batches in my 5.5 qt crock. Add onion, bay leaf, peppercorns, celery, carrots. I do not put in any salt, as we are very low sodium, but if you are not you could salt it a bit. I typically end up with about 9 quarts of broth. Best thing ever for soups!
