2008 Flashback: The Entire Year, in order
In 2008, I made a New Year's Resolution to use my slow cooker every single day for a year.
Was I nuts? Probably.
Want to read all the posts in order? (because you have way too much time on your hands, or are incredibly bored? it's okay. I won't judge.)
not what you're looking for?
Here's the Table of Contents, instead.

But Wait! There's More!
I have continued to use my slow cooker in 2009-2012, and update the site approximately once every 10 days (it's HARD blogging daily!).
You can see all of the recipes listed, HERE. There are over 600 listed.
I also have a Slow Living Podcast and have written 10 books.
You can learn more about me, and what I do now, here:
My books make excellent gifts for you or a friend, and I thank you greatly for your support.
I never thought this would turn into my new "job," but it has, and I am so very, very thankful. Thank you for your support.

ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing accomplishment...thanks for the blog listing. I see so many dishes that I know I would like to make! Gosh what a resource...Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I am so impressed. So much time and effort went into these recipes. I have so many here I want to try. I never thought of doing ribs in a crock. Thank you so much!!
ReplyDeleteThank You so much for taking the time to share all of these!! I am so excited to try some of them. They all look amazing so it is hard to decide.
ReplyDeleteGlad I found this! (by someone else, through Pinterest) I love my crockpot and I once went throuh like 2 months of using it. My husband bought a slow cooker recipe book from a fundraiser. I like cooking something different everyday and I thought it'd be fun to make all the recipes in the book. I did! From beginning to end. I discovered there's so much you can make on it, it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to make your 2008's resolution my 2012. ;)
Thanks again!
I am looking forward to trying some of these. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou rock! How awesome is this! :)
ReplyDeletewhat in the world did you ever do with all of the leftovers?
ReplyDeleteI noticed on one of your entries/recipes I just read that it said your daily had gone gluten free. Are all of these recipes gluten free???
ReplyDeleteHi Paige, yes. We happen to be gluten free because my (now 7) daughter has Celiac, and we've all decided to be GF at home. All the recipes are gluten free, but if you aren't you can simply ignore my notes. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou are awesome...for taking on this task AND for sharing it with everyone. I love to use my crockpot and I'm always looking for new recipes to try...guess I've got plenty to choose from now! Thank you!

You have inspired the slow cooker in me
ReplyDeleteI have the same slow cooker as you and I have a question. Have you figured out a way to make it work with a delay timer? I am always gone at work for 10+ hours and I would love a way to make the cooking start a few hours after I leave the house.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I am impressed! Makes me want to break out my crockpot even more! (I'm already addicted to cooking with it.)
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great collection of recipes...(found you via Pinterest)!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your collection of recipes! I found you on pinterest and am featuring your blog on my blog. I <3 my crock pot so it is great to see that someone else does too!

Thank you for the GREAT list of recipes! Chelsea this might help, at Home Depot they have a timer that you can set the time you want it to turn on and off. I'm sure other places sell them that's where I got mine.
ReplyDeleteI am always looking for crockpot recipes. Thanks for making my life easier with your list!!
ReplyDeleteJust ordered both books from Amazon. It will be so nice to have HUNDREDS of recipes that I DON'T have to check for gluten--woohoo!!! My husband and I got married 6 years ago and each brought a crockpot into the marriage. I plan to put them through their paces. You are a God-send!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen so many slow cooker recipes in one place. You are my inspiration to cook more.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is amazing, I received my first slow cooker for Christmas and have been making the same 2 things in it since (pulled pork and chili). Now I have a world of ideas to choose from. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all these recipes. I have to admit to sneaking on to this blog to look at the recipes all the time! I am going to start using my crockpot a lot more.. especially since this stay at home mom is going back to work.
ReplyDeleteI have just found your recipes and I now have to many ideas for dinner that I don't know what to cook! I find you recipes super easy, tasty and easy to adapt to suit my kids allergies.
ReplyDeleteA slow cooker! This is the answer to my question! This morning I told my husband I had to figure out a way that I can go visit our sons' families and not be glutened by a scratch in a pot or baking pan in their kitchens. All of a sudden, it seems I'm more sensitive to gluten than I was to begin with. The crock pot is the answer! A person can only eat so many salads and handfuls of nuts, ya' know. :>} I'm so excited to have found you today! Thank you for writing this blog and putting all these recipes on here.
ReplyDeleteYou are so inspiring I love your site!
ReplyDeletecan you feature vegan breads cooked in crockpot please?
ReplyDeleteI love bread and it has always been my downfall, it would be nice to have an assortment of vegan bread recipes for crockpot, since I don't have an oven and I am a vegan.
I will really appreciate it if you do, thank you in advance!
You are a saint, as a working mom with kids that are extremely busy with afterschool activities I need a blog like yours. This blog is exactly what I needed to have dinner ready when we all get home. Thanks for your experiment.
ReplyDeleteSteph, This is fantastic!! I will be sure to visit and check our your recipes. You are an inspiration! WOW!

I can not tell you how much I appreciate these recipes. My husband and I both work 9-11 hour days, share a vehicle, and have a toddler. Needless to say, I don't have much time for cooking in the evenings. You are a life saver and my new hero. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Just discovered you and am looking forward to trying your recipes. Just the thought of using the slow cooker (and washing it out) everyday had earned my attention, respect and admiration!
ReplyDeleteThe scope and variety you offer here is inspiring. Thank you.
You made fried chicken on my b-day! yay!

As a busy nursing school student I rarely have time to cook good meals. I'm more likely to stop at a fast food joint or pop something in the microwave and my clothes are getting a little tight. I look forward to trying healthier meals that will taste delicious and not take 4 hrs to prepare! Thanks a million for willing to share!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is great! Do you happen to have a "Best of..." list?
ReplyDeleteI love my crock pot and see You loved your ore. Yum! I am ready to try some new ideas. thanks for sharing. I found you on Pinterest.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your website. Not only do I get great recipes but, I get so many laughs from the way you write them. Lord knows we need both. Thanks, again
